Job SummaryASM Global is seeking a highly skilled Banquet Captain to join our team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for providing exceptional catering services for events and ensuring that every detail is executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities- Event Execution: Directly supervise all catered events, including setup, execution, and tear down, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train banquet and bar staff on guest service standards, professionalism, and event procedures.
- Client Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inventory of smallwares equipment, dry goods, and perishables, and ensure proper usage, storage, and maintenance.
- Food Safety: Ensure compliance with Florida Health Code and liquor laws, and train staff on proper food handling techniques.
- Bar Operations: Direct bar staff to ensure all necessary tools and products are in place for complete bar operation, and confirm accurate bar paperwork.
- Event Preparation: Assist with preparation and setup of event rooms as needed.
- Education: Four-year college degree in a related hospitality field preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in food and beverage, with a strong understanding of survey-based measures and food handling and storage regulations.
- Skills: Excellent oral communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Certifications: ServSafe certification and completion of TEAM's alcohol management training required.
The physical demands of this role include regular movement around the facility, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 20 pounds. The ability to balance, have good manual dexterity, and perform repetitive eye/hand coordination is also required.
