Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician
Are you enthusiastic about advancing genomics research within a collaborative and diverse environment? The California State University is looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician to become a vital part of our research team. In this role, you will assist faculty members, conduct experiments, and mentor research assistants. If you possess expertise in genetics, molecular biology, and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) library preparation, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee laboratory procurement, invoicing, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain laboratory equipment
- Instruct new students in laboratory protocols
- Execute additional tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience in a laboratory technician role
- An Associate's degree in a relevant field or a Bachelor's degree with applicable coursework
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with NGS library preparation is preferred
