Early Childhood Education Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Education Professional to join our team at Waccamaw EOC, Inc. as a Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing daily lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of our recipients.
Key Responsibilities- Lesson Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement daily lesson plans that are reflective of the individual needs of our recipients.
- Classroom Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate all classroom activities to ensure that the needs of individuals are being met.
- Goal Setting and Progress Monitoring: Identify the individual enrolled child's needs by use of appropriate assessment tools, environment, observation, parent/teacher conferences, etc.; and designs goals and objectives.
- Record Keeping and Data Entry: Maintain files on each recipient including complete information, medical records, progress reports, etc. as may be required. Input educational assessment and data into the computer.
- Professional Development: Attend all workshops, seminars, pre-service and in-service training, etc., as required and follows an individualized professional development plan.
- Team Collaboration: Provide input for assistant teachers in the development of their own individualized professional development plan. Conduct annual evaluations of assistant teachers and assist with setting annual goals.
- Additional Responsibilities: Such other duties as are assigned within state and federal guidelines.
- Necessary Qualifications: An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or Associate Degree in a related field to Early Childhood Education and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching preschool-age children or Bachelor's Degree and has been admitted into the Teach for America program, passed a rigorous early childhood content exam, such as the Praxis II, participated in a Teach for America summer training institute that includes teaching preschool children, and is receiving ongoing professional development and support from Teach for America's professional staff.
- Validations: Valid driver's license or reliable transportation. Must have basic computer skills. Able to attend overnight meetings and workshops. Ability to maintain and retrieve files and to visually review. Must be able to pass a SLED/FBI criminal background check and required health screening.
- Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and experience working with a Head Start Program. Basic knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing Head Start Programs. Basic knowledge (at least six months' experience) of community action concepts.
