Key Responsibilities:

Oversees, guides, and assesses assigned personnel, develops and manages employee work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage and control; compiles and reviews timesheets; addresses employee concerns and issues and provides counseling or disciplinary actions as necessary; assists with or completes performance evaluations; directs work; serves as a liaison between staff and management; and trains personnel in operations, policies, and procedures.

Organizes, prioritizes, and delegates tasks; schedules work activities to meet objectives; ensures that team members have the necessary resources to complete assigned tasks; monitors work status, reviews ongoing projects, and inspects completed work; collaborates with assigned staff to assist with complex issues and provide technical guidance; and submits progress and activity reports to management.

Monitors, prioritizes, participates in, and inspects work activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, codes, standards, regulations, operational instructions, and safety protocols to guarantee operational efficiency and a secure work environment.

Prepares inspection reports, records data for violations, and other necessary information; and completes inspection reports, data entry for violations, and other information as required.

Conducts site visits and construction meetings with contractors; and holds construction meetings with builders and contractors regarding building codes.

Issues warning notices, stop work orders, and court summons; and issues warning notices and court summons for uncorrected violations.

Requests equipment, tools, and materials promptly to ensure maintenance and construction schedules are adhered to.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related skilled trades area is required, along with five years of progressively responsible experience enforcing building codes and ordinances, including lead or supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this classification.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license. Must possess and maintain the International Code Council Building Official Certification.
