Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Administers medications or treatments as ordered
  • Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents
  • Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Counsels residents, family members, and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
