We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that we meet our quality, schedule, and cost goals.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide supervisory leadership and management to assigned teams, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to meet their objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns, and reduce manufacturing losses.
- Team Development: Coach and counsel team members to improve their performance and development needs.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including production control, methods, and quality assurance.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Analyze and diagnose machine and tooling problems, and take corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedules.
- Safety and Quality: Ensure that all manufacturing operations are conducted in a safe and quality manner, meeting or exceeding industry standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of prior supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience: Prior experience in CNC Machining, Heat Treating, Grinding, Dimensional Inspection, Shipping and Receiving is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, strong team building/coaching skills, knowledge of manufacturing operations and practices, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment, lift 35 lbs. when needed, and stand and walk throughout the workday.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
- Relocation: Relocation is authorized for this position.
