Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team at Berners Schober. As an integral member of our project team, you will assist project engineers in developing electrical solutions for design projects.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and coordinate with project team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Assist lead project engineer with assessing and designing lighting, power, data, and low-voltage system requirements and providing layouts.
  • Compile system specifications, details, and schedules to support project delivery.
  • Visit job sites to survey and gather required information to complete drawings.
  • Perform various management duties related to electrical portions of projects.
  • Inform lead project engineer of potential issues and contribute to resolving them.
  • Assist lead project engineer with completing addendum drawings and revision drawings.
Requirements
  • EIT or unlicensed designer with 3+ years of experience, preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license, preferred.
  • Experience with Revit MEP and AutoCAD, required.
  • Knowledge of Building and Electrical Codes and Standards, preferred.
  • Familiarity with BIM360, Bluebeam, and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), preferred.
