Family Medicine Physician Leader

HCA Healthcare East Florida is seeking a dynamic physician leader to serve as core faculty in our family medicine residency program at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital.
Job Summary:We are looking for a family medicine/surgical OB physician leader who is interested in medical education and has a strong interest in resident education.
Responsibilities:- Be a role model for future generations of physicians by demonstrating compassion, a commitment to excellence in teaching and patient care, evidence-based medicine, professionalism, and the advancement of the field of medicine.
- Provide residents with level and skill-appropriate supervision and promote patients cost-effective, as well as progressive resident responsibility and independence.
- Create an effective learning environment, with open communication, free of fear of incrimination or retribution, and attend to resident well-being.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in resident education; regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, didactics, rounds, journal clubs, conferences, and other educational activities as assigned by the Program Director.
- On an annual basis, pursue the development of their teaching, mentoring, and administrative skills related to education, well-being, practice-based learning and improvement, and other areas applicable to GME.
