Overview
We are seeking a qualified individual for an academic role focused on Healthcare Genetics and Genomics within the Nursing department. This position requires a strong background in genetic and genomic research, alongside a commitment to education and mentorship.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A PhD in Nursing or a closely related discipline
- Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
- A demonstrated history or potential for securing research funding and publishing scholarly work, particularly in the areas of genetic and genomic research
- Experience or potential in research related to cancer, precision medicine, metabolomics, or big data analytics
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- A record of successful research and grant writing
- Experience in leading laboratory or clinical research projects and supervising students
- Proven ability to guide students through dissertation processes
