We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Clinical Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team at Gateway Gastroenterology. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions, perform diagnostic evaluations, and work collaboratively to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide follow-up care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and diagnose gastrointestinal conditions such as acid reflux, IBS, Crohns disease, fatty liver, and hepatitis.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including adjustments based on patient response and side effects.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their overall health and well-being.
- Work closely with gastroenterologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans, in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology or a related specialty.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and the ability to manage complex patient cases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and support patients and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri.
