In the G81 Unit, you will provide care for adult patients in our Complex Medical Care area, addressing a wide range of medical conditions, including those in our specialized ENT/Plastics eight-bed step-down unit.
Our patients are recovering from intricate reconstructive surgeries and require the specialized attention that you will be trained to deliver.
You will encounter both acute and chronic medical issues, such as head and neck cancer, surgical flaps and grafts, renal failure, diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, and sepsis.
This Nursing Unit offers a unique experience as it combines the roles of a specialty surgical step-down unit with that of a general medical unit.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. Prioritize patient care activities based on acuity, patient preferences, and resource availability. Maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care. Respond to health risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate them. Seek supervision and assistance when necessary. Adhere to hospital and departmental personnel policies. Document patient care accurately in medical records.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Experience:
New graduates or those with less than one year of RN experience, or experienced RNs transitioning from non-inpatient to acute direct care settings with less than one year of current acute direct patient care experience are encouraged to apply.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Adhere to Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
