Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a seasoned Professional Engineer/Project Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental and remediation projects. This role involves providing advanced technical support and overseeing project management for environmental characterization and remediation initiatives across various sectors, including federal, municipal, commercial, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be tasked with:
- Managing the scope, planning, and execution of extensive environmental investigation programs in compliance with regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA, RCRA, and TSCA.
- Overseeing a multidisciplinary team to develop design documents and workflows for the investigation and remediation of hazardous waste sites.
- Interpreting project requirements based on regulatory standards and establishing project parameters for successful execution.
- Tracking project milestones and managing financial aspects, including budgets and cost assessments.
- Delivering comprehensive project-level financial progress reports.
- Handling multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting or related fields.
- Expertise in the investigation or remediation of hazardous materials under various environmental cleanup programs.
- Experience with multimedia sampling techniques, including groundwater, surface water, soil, and air.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- Completion of 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current refresher training is preferred.
