Role of an Air Traffic Control Specialist:
Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS) are responsible for managing air traffic in and around airports, adhering to established protocols to ensure safety and efficiency. Their duties include:
- Monitoring and directing the movement of aircraft on the ground and in the airspace.
- Providing critical information such as runway usage, weather conditions, and taxiing instructions.
- Issuing clearances for takeoff and landing.
- Conducting weather observations and sharing timely updates with pilots and other facilities.
- Coordinating with emergency services in case of aircraft emergencies.
- Maintaining operational records and documentation.
- Training new personnel as required.

Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship.
- Possession of an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
- A Control Tower Operator (CTO) rating or equivalent credential with practical experience.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to obtain FAA Security clearance.
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
