Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at FirstService Residential. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and providing exceptional service to our residents.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Routinely inspect and maintain all mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they are operational and properly maintained.
  • Perform routine walks of the property to identify and report any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with building staff and residents.
  • Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and replacements in areas of carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other building repairs.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • (2) years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and climbing stairs.
