KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Certified Medical Assistant Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering a range of patient care services under the guidance of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse, adhering to established protocols and standards.
You may serve as the primary support for the physician and assist with intricate procedures, therapies, and diagnostic tests.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A High School diploma or GED is essential. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a Nursing Assistant program is mandatory. Alternatively, three (3) years of relevant clinical experience may substitute formal education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least two (2) years of experience in a medical office environment is required, alongside completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. In the absence of formal education, three (3) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is acceptable.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
No specific licensure or certification is mandated by law.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying body is necessary. Additional relevant clinical certifications (such as Phlebotomy, EKG, X-Ray, etc.) are preferred.
