Job Summary
As an Area Manager at Walmart, you will be responsible for implementing the business plan for your area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling. You will also monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to achieve facility goals.
- Implement the business plan by managing staffing and scheduling, and assigning duties and coordinating workloads.
- Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
- Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action.
- Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties and coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need an Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field and 1 year's supervisory experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field, or 1 year's Walmart Logistics Management experience, or 2 years' Walmart Logistics experience, or 2 years' supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office, Supervising Associates, and Walmart Logistics Systems are preferred qualifications for this role.
