Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Algiers Charter School Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in grades K-1st, providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students, addressing their diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop a cohesive instructional program
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in their child's education
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
  • Two years of teaching experience preferred
  • Proven track record of high student achievement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
