Job Summary

Salina Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to join our team. As a Traveling Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including sterile vaginal exams, NSTs, OCTs, and reflex checks.
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries, forceps/vacuum, C-sections, and neonatal care.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to provide excellent patient care and achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery.
  • Current licensure in Kansas or a compact state.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FHM, BLS, and NRP.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LDRP experience.
  • Assist with amniocentesis, spiral electrode placement, and use of IUPC.
  • Skills in tele interpretation, internal/external fetal monitoring, IVs, medication administration, and labor and delivery management.
