At Chalmers and Kubeck South, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical aptitude and be able to troubleshoot, inspect, install, and test valves/ actuators at specified locations.

The successful candidate will perform various tasks including installing and/or replacing components per wiring diagram, completing field service/job time worksheets and submitting them to the Field Service Coordinator/Shop Supervisor upon completion of field service/labor work. We offer on-the-job training for qualified applicants, but mechanical work history or experience is preferred.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. Our company offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements:

  • Must follow attendance and punctuality to company policy.
  • High School Diploma/GED required and MUST pass both background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to receive and understand verbal and written technical instructions in English.
  • Safely function in an industrial setting where manufacturing conditions exist and must have the ability to follow lock out/tag out and other safety procedures.
  • Some heavy lifting required.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills such as email and data entry into our ValveKeep program.
  • Must have the ability to use various mechanical tools.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical skills are required – you will get dirty.
  • Ability to learn electrical systems and controls- specifically high and low voltage AC..
  • There will be requirements for travel along the eastern seaboard from Washington D.C. to the Carolinas to troubleshoot and repair customer's valve actuators on-site. There may also be opportunities to assist other shop locations.
