We are seeking a Chief Nursing Officer, Registered Nurse to become a vital part of our dedicated healthcare team at Sears Coastal Nursing & Rehab. The Chief Nursing Officer will oversee the overall quality and adequacy of healthcare services provided, along with the supervision of nursing staff.

The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for establishing, implementing, and evaluating clinical service goals and objectives that align with and promote high standards of quality care.

This role ensures that care is well-coordinated across services, identifying all resident needs through thorough assessments and addressing them through the implementation of the Plan of Care and ongoing supervisory processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and actively participate in executing the Mission, Vision, and Values of Sears Coastal Nursing & Rehab.
  • Manage daily healthcare operations to ensure that all resident healthcare needs are met effectively.
  • Conduct daily rounds upon entering the facility.
  • Engage in all screening processes prior to resident admission and assess necessary items to meet resident needs.
  • Review all Accidents and Incidents (A/I) daily, developing appropriate plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure that all documentation accurately reflects nursing care and resident responses.
  • Coordinate and oversee physician rounds.
  • Demonstrate the ability to educate, lead, mentor, and supervise nursing department staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid Georgia RN or eNLC Compact RN license in good standing.
  • Ability to meet all health requirements, including passing a drug screen.
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • 2-5 years of previous experience in a Director of Nursing role is strongly preferred.
  • Must meet Operational and Clinical Competency requirements upon hire and as needed.
  • Ability to relate professionally and positively with residents, their families, facility staff, and direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of current nursing practices, along with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with PointClickCare is preferred but not mandatory.
