MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a Class A CDL Operator with additional technical expertise as a valuable asset.
- This role necessitates a minimum of three years of relevant experience. A two-year technical degree in electronics is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience as an EW/RF radar technician is preferred, including a solid understanding of general system theory, interfacing with test and training range infrastructure, and component-level repair of radar systems.
- Applicants must possess a comprehensive understanding of electronics theory, network theory, and the test equipment utilized for the maintenance and repair of various systems and data distribution networks.
- The ability to apply technical knowledge to the maintenance functions of these systems is essential.
- Candidates should demonstrate the capability to troubleshoot to the component level and execute necessary repairs.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision is required.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
- Capability to perform and maintain related technical and administrative duties is expected.
- Diagnosing equipment failures using troubleshooting skills, knowledge of electronic principles, and analysis of wiring diagrams and circuits, along with the use of relevant test equipment, is mandatory.
- Repairing failures down to individual components is also required.
- A basic familiarity with Windows software is necessary.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment for preventive and remedial maintenance, such as oscilloscopes, volt-ohm meters, frequency counters and generators, logic analyzers/emulators, computers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and waveform monitors, is essential.
- Ability to conduct maintenance, operations, and preventive maintenance as required, utilizing the appropriate test equipment.
- Demonstrated expertise and initiative in daily activities, along with a professional demeanor towards customers and colleagues, is crucial.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- The typical work environment includes outdoor settings, primarily in cold or arctic conditions.
- Work may involve elevated heights and remote locations.
- Attendance at meetings with government and contract personnel is necessary.
- Constant visual acuity is required for reviewing documents and performance operations and maintenance.
- Effective speech and hearing abilities for communication, along with continuous mental alertness, are essential.
- Ability to utilize a computer for data input and retrieval is necessary.
- Willingness to travel as required by the organization is expected.
- Physical tasks, including moderate lifting (up to 45 pounds) and climbing, are part of the job.
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Direct experience operating or maintaining FSU threat radar systems at the component level is preferred.
- Possession of a commercial driver's license (CDL) is advantageous.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This position requires U.S. citizenship and a U.S. government security clearance at the SECRET level.
POTENTIAL SIGN-ON BONUS:
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
