About the Role

As a software engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in developing technologies that protect people's privacy online while giving companies and developers tools to build thriving digital businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions to ensure the security and integrity of Google's products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security and privacy risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on code quality, security, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new privacy-preserving APIs and technologies to support personalization and measurement on the web.
  • Triage and debug product or system issues, and analyze the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields, experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging, experience developing accessible technologies, experience in Security or Privacy, experience building for the web, including Chromium browser development.

At Google, we offer a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
