Clinical Nurse III: Medical Cardiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our Medical Cardiac Hospitalist team at Albany Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse III, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
