Job Summary

As a critical care physician with CAMC Health System, you will provide high-quality patient care and management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine will be essential in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as necessary.
  • Train and supervise medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures.
  • Manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function.
  • Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Participate in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
