Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will coordinate patient care and engage in extensive communication and collaboration with fellow team members, patients, and their families or guardians.
Deliver education to patients and families regarding nursing, medical, and clinical services.
Consult with medical professionals regarding patients' current treatments and histories.
Conduct psychiatric assessments and provide treatment to patients enrolled in our programs.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and physical evaluations.
Assist patients and families in addressing their psychosocial needs.
Administer medication evaluations and management in partnership with the Medical Director/Psychiatrist.
Dispense medications to patients as prescribed.
Maintain annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.
Qualifications:
Possession of a Master's Degree and a current, valid Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse license is required.
Certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center is necessary.
Must hold prescriptive authority in the state.
A minimum of one year of experience working with children is essential.
A comprehensive understanding of psychotropic medications is required.
Engagement in ongoing education activities to enhance professional development is expected.
Physical Requirements:

While fulfilling the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate effectively.
The employee frequently uses hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; and may need to climb or maintain balance.
The employee occasionally sits and may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
