Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all food is handled and stored according to facility protocols and safe food handling practices.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Prepare food items following standardized recipes while adhering to safe food handling guidelines.
  • Help set up the food tray line efficiently.
  • Assemble diet trays and deliver tray carts to dining areas or designated units.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and equipment in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Support dishwashing operations and other cleaning responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • One year of experience in an institutional food service environment is preferred.
