Job Title: Instructional Aide 1:1

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide 1:1 to join our team. As a member of our award-winning team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse needs.

Job Summary:

The Instructional Aide 1:1 will provide individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, working closely with classroom teachers to create a safe and supportive learning environment. This role requires a strong ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and provide instruction in the classroom and community.
  • Assist classroom teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers and families to ensure student success.
  • Manage student behavior and implement behavioral intervention strategies as needed.
  • Support students with academic and personal challenges, providing encouragement and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in an education-related field preferred.
  • Licensed as a paraprofessional, paraeducator, or teaching assistant preferred.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders, and challenging behaviors.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
