Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled medical oncologist to join our team at MetroHealth, a leading academic medical center and tertiary referral center. As a medical oncologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting clinical research, and teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

About the Position

This is a full-time, academic faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in solid tumor oncology, with a focus on breast, lung, or gastrointestinal cancers. You will be expected to provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, longitudinal patient care, and participate in clinical trials.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including inpatient and outpatient consultations and longitudinal patient care
  • Conduct clinical research, including participating in clinical trials and developing new research initiatives
  • Teach and mentor internal medicine residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and medical students
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements

The successful candidate will hold an MD or DO degree, have completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology, and be board certified or board eligible in hematology and/or oncology. You will also have a strong interest in teaching, research, and active collaboration in multidisciplinary patient care.
