Job Title: Certified Peer Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our team at the University of New Mexico Hospitals. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide support and guidance to individuals and families in need of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and support to individuals and families in need of mental health services
  • Assist in the development and coordination of individualized service plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations
  • Document all client encounters and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Certified Peer Specialist recognized in the State of New Mexico
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License
  • UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer

Working Conditions:

This position is subject to random alcohol and substance testing. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team setting.
