Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our team at the University of New Mexico Hospitals. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide support and guidance to individuals and families in need of mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide education and support to individuals and families in need of mental health services
- Assist in the development and coordination of individualized service plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations
- Document all client encounters and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Certified Peer Specialist recognized in the State of New Mexico
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer
Working Conditions:
This position is subject to random alcohol and substance testing. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team setting.
