Fire Sprinkler Foreman Job Summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Foreman to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Foreman, you will be responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret installation requirement details accurately and entirely from project drawings.
  • Delegate tasks to fitters, mechanics, and assistants to fulfill project completion deadlines and meet scheduling requirements.
  • Install and test fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects.
  • Communicate design changes to site requirements and ensure compliance with fire protection codes.
  • Manage materials delivered to site and perform minor fabrication as needed.
  • Update daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings.
  • Bring changes to the attention of the manager and instruct trainees in basic process or service, repair, and/or system installation.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all paperwork.
  • Maintain vehicle and tools as per company policy.
  • Use hand tools, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic power tools.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes.
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record to drive a company vehicle.
  • Ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
