Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at Stand-By Personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within the plant yard or work site, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant yard or work site.
• Read Bills of Material or follow oral instructions to prepare materials for shipment.
• Transport materials from storage or work areas to designated locations.
• Secure lifting attachments to units/bundles and direct crane or hoisting operators for transport.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and mark information on containers.
• Use industrial forklifts to load trucks and stack or assemble materials into bundles.
• Crosstrain in shipping and warehouse departments using basic computer skills.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist and clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
• Assemble crates to contain products like motors, vib switches, and mechanical parts.
• Operate industrial trucks or overhead cranes to assist in loading or moving materials.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a material handling or warehousing role.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with industrial forklifts, cranes, and hoisting equipment.
• Ability to read Bills of Material and follow instructions accurately.
• Basic computer skills for crosstraining in shipping and warehouse tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
