Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Train, coach, and develop employees to ensure they perform their duties diligently and in accordance with all standard operating procedures, policies, and protocols.
  • Scheduling and Payroll: Responsible for scheduling, approving payroll, and managing budgets for the janitorial services staff.
  • Performance Management: Supervise and coach employees in the performance of their duties, conduct performance reviews, and provide verbal or written disciplinary documentation as needed.
  • Janitorial Operations: Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in janitorial services, assign tasks, and inspect work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.
  • HR Functions: Review applications, conduct interviews, and complete all HR paperwork in a timely manner, recommend personnel actions, and confer with staff to resolve production and personnel problems.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in janitorial methods and procedures, proper operation of equipment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and established procedures.
  • Team Environment: Create a team environment that encourages positive staff morale, engagement, and commitment to excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in janitorial services or a related field, with a proven track record of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Certifications: OSHA and CDC guidelines for safety and chemical-use training.
