Job Summary

The Production Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production machinery and equipment. This includes establishing and maintaining plans for corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance, as well as supervising workers engaged in equipment maintenance and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe conditions and proper maintenance of all equipment within the manufacturing area.
  • Develop and maintain an effective plan for corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
  • Supervise workers engaged in equipment maintenance and operations, including outside vendors.
  • Develop and maintain labor routers and fundamental standards utilized by the production capacity plan.
  • Ensure inventories of maintenance materials, supplies, and replacement parts are maintained at proper levels.
  • Originates requests and provides detailed specifications on all maintenance materials and parts required for production machinery and equipment.
  • Reviews proposed new products from manufacturing method/assembly and cost perspectives, providing financial analysis of labor content and equipment considerations.
Requirements
  • A 4-year college degree in a specialized or technical field, such as Manufacturing Technology or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 6 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Considerable supervisory skills are essential in successfully planning, directing, reporting, and administrative responsibilities of this position.
