Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to sensitive areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Conduct regular building and grounds surveillance to detect and report any safety violations.
  • Assist management in enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain a sign-in roster for all visitors and ensure that they are properly screened and cleared.
  • Conduct periodic and random fire drills to ensure that our staff is prepared in the event of an emergency.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other staff members to ensure that safety protocols are being followed.

Requirements:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in security operations.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders is preferred.
  • Current New York State Security Officer Certification.
  • Current Fire Guard Certification.
  • High School/GED Required.
