Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team at College of the Canyons. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Administration of Justice courses and contributing to the development of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Administration of Justice courses to students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and success
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees to contribute to the development of academic programs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student learning experience
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Administration of Justice
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
  • OR - Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching Administration of Justice courses
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
