Job Summary
Kapco Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team on 1st shift at our Grafton, WI facility. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling small components and packets in our Shipping area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work to be accomplished by specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, tools, and materials
- Position parts and assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Down pile parts from bulk packaging to individual small packs
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Contribute to team effort by helping where needed
- Successfully complete forklift certification program
- Keep all materials and products neat and organized. Assist with timely delivery of products and containers, as needed
Requirements
- Semi-skilled job involving assembly of small components/packets
- Requires forklift training and certification, basic math, reading and writing skills
- Physical requirements include the ability to bend, twist, stoop and reach, and lift materials up to 50 pounds
