Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, and supplies for patient visits.
- Assist patients with preparation for physician visits and examinations.
- Take and record patient vital signs and medical chart information.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, including EKG, PFT, and Audiometry devices.
- Perform laboratory testing, including UDS, BAT, and Phlebotomy, as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
- Assist with billing and collections procedures as needed.
- Utilize computer software to manage office systems and maintain confidentiality.
- Provide patient-centered care, adapting to individual needs and preferences.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
- Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent certification required.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
