AWS Certified Welder

Mortenson is seeking an AWS Certified Welder to join our team for the Jaguar Project in Waco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials, setting up and performing welds of moderate complexity from blueprints and specifications, and assisting engineering with prints and documentation design.

1. Load and unload equipment and materials
2. Responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials
3. Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blueprints and specifications
4. Assist engineering with prints and documentation design
5. Conducting daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions
6. Basic problem-solving techniques and troubleshooting; as related to welding component parts
7. General cleanup and clearing of debris
8. Lifting up to 50 lbs and walking a minimum of 10 miles a day in various weather conditions
9. All other duties as assigned

1. AWS Certified
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a welder

This position requires the ability to work effectively with others and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. The successful candidate will possess basic understanding of construction hand tools, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
