Histology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at Gastro Health. As a key member of our laboratory, you will play a crucial role in preparing reagents and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

This is a Full-Time position working on a Night Shift, Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for preparing material for staining, cutting paraffin sections, and properly embedding processed tissue.

• Prepare reagents in the laboratory to ensure high-quality results
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations
• Perform routine histology tasks from accessioning to cover slipping
• Cut and stain re-cut slides, special stains, and esoteric tests requested by pathologists
• Operate complex automated equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain optimal performance

• Bachelor of Science in biology or related field (Associates degree also considered)
• HT or HTL certification by ASCP
• Previous experience as a histotech preferred but not required
• Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients
