Job Summary

The Radar Systems Engineer will be responsible for defining radar system architectures, developing concepts of operations, designing radar processing algorithms, and developing and decomposing system, hardware, and software requirements. The engineer will also support the integration of radars into counter-defensive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Algorithm Development: Design and develop algorithms for radar signal processing and waveform design.
  • Signal Processing and Waveform Design: Develop and implement signal processing algorithms and waveform designs for radar systems.
  • Electronic Protection Methods: Design and develop electronic protection methods for radar systems.
  • Phased Array and Digital Beamforming Technology: Develop and implement phased array and digital beamforming technology for radar systems.
  • Radar Search, Track, and Discrimination Design: Design and develop radar search, track, and discrimination algorithms.
  • Statistical and Numerical Analysis of Radar Performance Data: Analyze and interpret radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods.
  • Integration and Test of Large Systems: Integrate and test large radar systems.
  • Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) Development: Develop and implement MBSE models for radar systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering.
  • DOD Secret level clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
  • Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge.
  • Experience leading the development of systems engineering artifacts such as System/Subsystem Requirements Documents (SRD), Architecture Diagrams, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
  • Ability to interact with customers to define requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness.
  • Experience working with Matlab, DOORS, Cameo System Modeler.
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior systems engineering experience on US DoD projects utilizing Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Familiarity with architecture, hardware, software, and system integration of AESA radars.
  • Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track, and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance.
  • Familiarity with some of the different missions our radars can conduct active protection, vehicle protection, hostile fire detection, counter-UAV, counter-UAS, all-threat air surveillance, and 3D perimeter surveillance.
  • Ability to create and deliver both informational and technical briefings; technical writing experience, in generating technical documents in support of program and proposal documentation, to include CONOPS, Test Plans, etc.
  • Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors, and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection techniques.
  • Experience with using Jira as a task management and issue tracking tool.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps.
