This role involves conducting a range of standardized assessments, including advanced and specialized evaluations pertinent to the designated laboratory section.
Responsibilities include obtaining specimens as necessary, preparing samples, and assessing their suitability for the requested analyses. You will also prepare reagents, execute tests, compute and interpret results, and ensure accuracy through thorough review. Maintaining accurate records and discussing methodologies and general procedures is essential. You may also explore alternative procedures when appropriate and collaborate with the supervisor on results. In the absence of the immediate supervisor, you may take on supervisory responsibilities. Additionally, you will evaluate new testing methods and equipment.Qualifications

Minimum License Requirement:
Possession of a current California MTA CLS license is required. A grace period of sixty days for renewals is provided to accommodate processing time by the Department. During this grace period, the licensee may continue to practice their profession beyond the expiration date. A minimum of an MTE license is required for those working in the ICH Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Microbiology department.
