Diesel Technician Opportunity

Talon Recruiting is partnering with a leading heavy truck dealership to find skilled Diesel Technicians to join their team in Yakima, WA.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to perform a variety of tasks including maintenance, repair, overhaul, and adjustment to any part(s) of a diesel or gasoline-powered truck or tractor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems using mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections of truck-tractor components following a company checklist.
  • Repair truck-tractor components, including oil changes, light bulb replacements, and wheel and tire maintenance.
  • Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts, and lube used in each job function.
  • Work with minimal supervision and make road calls when component failure occurs in a remote location.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
Requirements
  • Safety-conscious and knowledgeable of general shop safety.
  • Able to complete job functions without repeat repairs.
  • Available for full-time work and willing to work additional hours as needed.
  • CDL (Class A) highly preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
