Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Hobart Service. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair solutions to our customers in the commercial food equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair a variety of commercial food equipment, including cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking, and refrigeration units.
  • Work with customers to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Meet or exceed weekly productivity and customer satisfaction goals while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Requirements
  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 0-2 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience.
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to drive multiple hours daily.
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as required.
  • Ability to attend industry-leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH.

  • Lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder.
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary through extension ladders or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet.
  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles / day.
  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day.
  • Kneel, squat, bend, push/pull.
  • Move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Operate machinery and/or power tools.
Working Conditions
  • Office facility and customer facilities (including commercial kitchens of various types of businesses).
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet dirty conditions may occur.
  • Travel requirement up to 50% of time.
