About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Analyst to join our team at Sul Ross State University. As a key member of our Business Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support to process requisitions for University Departments across all campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure accuracy of key factors such as fund and organization elements in the accounting structure, budget, and other requirements before processing requisitions.
  • Work with departments on purchasing needs and process the requisition.
  • Follow up with external procurement and contracts to ensure policy and regulations are met.
  • Check requests for Pcard for budget and ensure the department follows purchasing guidelines.
  • Review accounting used on all purchases.
Requirements
  • High school graduate with business courses or equivalent.
  • Two years experience in procurement or related field.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Standard office machine and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related field with higher education experience.
  • Experience in state procurement.
  • Familiar with Ellucian Banner procedures.
