As a designated Level IV trauma center, Geisinger Health System provides 25 accredited beds and features a helipad for the transport of critically injured patients needing advanced medical care. As a hospitalist, you will have access to cutting-edge medical technology and resources, enabling you to deliver exceptional care to your patients. Your role will extend beyond direct patient interaction, with opportunities for research, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Position Highlights:
Position Summary:
- Conduct patient interviews to gather information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories. Perform and/or interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Diagnose conditions and formulate treatment plans for injuries and/or illnesses. May prescribe or administer medications. Maintain and review records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
- Work is generally performed in a clinical and office setting. Responsible for fulfilling all job-specific obligations and adhering to all organizational policies and procedures.
