Job Overview

At Electric Machinery Company LLC, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality electrical machinery and apparatus. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who is passionate about testing and quality assurance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and testing, with experience in setting up and operating test equipment, troubleshooting issues, and reporting results.

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with opportunities for overtime. Estimated salary is $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, connect, test and adjust test items such as motors, generators, control equipment and specifically designed power apparatus to meet IEEE, API, NEMA and other product specifications.
  • Read information pertaining to apparatus to be tested, such as production order, engineering data sheets, process specifications, test specifications, and drawings.
  • Prepare data sheets, test plans and reports electronically to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Use auxiliary testing apparatus such as pony brakes, generators, voltmeters, ammeters, dynamometers, driving motors, tachometers, meggers and high-pot equipment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced certificate/degree in related field desired.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and is self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work with a team and independently.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively partner and communicate with external and internal customers at all levels of the organization.
