Role Summary

As a Custodial Team Member, you will be an essential part of our cleaning team, responsible for upholding the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Your keen attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for all who visit. Join us in ensuring that our YMCA remains a clean and inviting space.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform cleaning and safety tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and more.Report maintenance needs and suggest solutions to management.Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks as preventive measures.Ensure that essential supplies are stocked in designated areas.Maintain cleanliness of waste receptacles throughout the facility.Organize cleaning equipment in storage areas.Work with the Safety Champion to establish cleaning protocols.Promote the YMCA's values and mission within the community.Exemplify the Y's mission, vision, and values through your actions.Share the YMCA's story with participants, members, staff, and guests.Complete additional duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.Previous experience in custodial or maintenance roles is advantageous.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication skills.Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity.Physical Demands
