Pediatric Care Specialists at Magnet Medical play a vital role in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate and individualized care to meet the unique needs of each patient.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pediatric Care Specialist, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of pediatric patients and their families. Your clinical expertise and passion for pediatric nursing will enable you to provide exceptional care and support to our young patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive seamless and coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients, including physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and evaluation of medical history. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings, medical orders, and nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy in dosage, route, and timing. Monitor patients for medication side effects and adverse reactions, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Provide post-operative care and wound management for pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. Monitor surgical incisions, assess wound healing progress, and educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions.
- Educate patients and caregivers about pediatric health conditions, treatments, and procedures. Provide guidance on disease prevention, nutrition, medication administration, and developmental milestones. Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, addressing concerns and providing updates on patient progress. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in patients' conditions, providing urgent care and life-saving interventions as needed. Maintain proficiency in pediatric resuscitation protocols and emergency procedures. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with documentation standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements. Advocate for patients' rights and preferences, ensuring informed consent and involvement in decision-making. Provide emotional support to patients and families, addressing their psychosocial needs and promoting a positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license. Experience: Previous experience in pediatric nursing or medical-surgical nursing preferred. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required depending on employer and patient population. Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
