Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Dental Assessments: Review medical histories, evaluate oral health conditions, and identify potential issues.
- Perform Dental Screenings: Screen for oral cancer and other dental diseases to ensure early detection and treatment.
- Administer Professional Dental Cleanings: Scale, root plan, and prophylaxis to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
- Educate Patients on Oral Hygiene: Provide guidance on proper brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling to promote optimal oral health.
- Collaborate with the Dental Team: Work closely with the dentist and dental assistants to coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Document clinical notes, observations, and treatment plans to ensure seamless patient care.
- Adhere to Infection Control Protocols: Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
- Degree from an Accredited Dental Hygiene Program
- Current and Valid State Dental Hygiene License
- Proficient in Performing Dental Cleanings and Preventive Procedures
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Knowledge of Dental Anatomy, Oral Pathology, and Periodontal Diseases
