Summary:

This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Cardiology ICU. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care and be able to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care using clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care that meets the patient's needs and promotes comfort.
  • Oversee care delivered by the patient care team and coordinate the plan of care.
  • Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and the patient care team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement an appropriate plan of care.
Work Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital ICU, with pediatric critical care experience preferred.
Education:
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
  • BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association required.
  • PALS required.
